E-NEM-IES OF GREY
The Never Ending Mural launched itself upon the Ipswich landscape this week, so we sent Dunk and Charlotte along to show our support.
The mural is a bold and colourful statement on an otherwise rather grey and uninspiring backdrop, and it's definitely turning
a few heads.
Taking a quick break from overseeing the project (and being
very hands-on about it!), the mural's curator John D. Edwards
said: "Support for the mural has been phenomenal and we're actually looking at extending the hours that we're here so
people can get involved outside of school and work hours.
Dulux have been very generous with regards to supplying and mixing paint for us, but we could always use more if anyone
out there has a surplus."
Charlotte adds: "We've started now, but that's exactly what it is. The start. The success of the mural will depend upon the continued support of the local community and businesses, so please come along and get involved - it's a great way to get the creative juices flowing!"
Phase One of the Never Ending Mural is taking place on the Ipswich Waterfront, starting at The Mill end, and will work its way up Civic Drive to the Crown Street car park later in the year.
While we were there taking a few snaps, Ipswich MP Ben Gummer turned up to tell John what a great job he and his team of volunteers are doing, and as we were leaving an ITV News crew arrived, so the Never Ending Mural is clearly making its mark!
