RICH'S LOVIN...

I picked up Tim Phillips' excellent book Talk Normal: Stop the Business Speak, Jargon and Waffle the other day and was struck by the similarities between Tim's advice and our way of doing things here at White Space.

Being 100% jargon-free is a big part of our company culture, so to a large extent 'Talk Normal' is preaching to the choir, but never ones to rest on our laurels, we bought the book anyway to confirm belt and braces that we're singing from the same hymn sheet.

Perhaps I should go back and read it again.

I'd also recommend Tim's Talk Normal blog where he pledges to "make the bad noises stop" - but you can do your bit too by becoming a talknormaliser and cutting out the corporate waffle. After all, being understood by everyone is what great communication is all about!
