RICH'S DRAGON
Apologies for the absence of Draw@4 last week, but we were up against it with deadlines so had to postpone. I'd like to say the quality of this week's entries makes up for it... I'd like to, but I can't in all good conscience.
Neil was in the champion's chair and inspired by a rather snazzy drawing by his 3-year-old daughter, Alexa, he set us the task of drawing a dragon.
I don't know what to say really... I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that yours truly somehow bagged the top spot with what has to be my worst effort to date. Neil commenced the 10-second countdown and I panicked and... well, the result's right there for all to see.
I thought I was working to a grand design, but looking back I'm not so sure. Neil's comment says it all...
"If Alexa's drawing could've been entered, she'd be in the top 3!"
Anyway, Neil made me the winner as he felt my drawing was so indescribably weird and scary it simply had to win, but I think perhaps he saw a childlike quality reminiscent of Alexa's effort? Comparing the two, perhaps I'm giving myself too much credit!
Sympathy vote or not, the judge's decision is final, I'm the champ and no-one can take that away from me. I'm off next week, so I might get our
Facebook followers to vote for the winner - assuming the drawings are safe for public consumption - yes, Dunk, I'm looking at you!
Right, I'm out of here, these Draw@4 posts do have a tendency to drag-on...
