Nicola's Harry Potter

NICOLA'S HARRY POTTER

In honour of one of the year's biggest movie blockbusters, last week's returning champ Mark picked Harry Potter as today's subject and then chose Nicola's drawing as the winner...

Now call me picky, but since when has everyone's favourite boy-wizard been a spaceman?!

I can only assume he's supposed to be wearing some kind of hooded cape - maybe his trusty cloak of invisibility? Anyway, putting sour grapes aside, Nicola's effort proves that sometimes the simplest designs are the best. It's all there... the enigmatic Mona Lisa-esque smile, the lightning scar, the enchanted round specs that somehow stay on his face even though he has no ears...

So it's Nicola's call next week. I'm off to Hogwarts to learn some sketching spells!
