RICH'S DUCK
Yup, nothing for 3 months, then 2 wins come along in quick succession!
Neil's in Portugal so it was left up to Dunk to preside over this week's competition. When Dunk broke the seal on the envelope it was immediately obvious that Neil had agonised over his choice of subject and stretched his fertile imagination to within an inch of its life...
...a duck.
He even added a disclaimer stating, "we might have drawn this before". I haven't been this disappointed since finding out Mary Poppins' carpet bag isn't real. Don't even get me started on Bert's chalk pavement drawings!
As you can see, I ducked out of drawing a feathered friend and went for the verb instead. A few of my fellow competitors cried fowl, but Dunk (a man of impeccable taste) was impressed by my thinking and gave me top billing.
So there you have it, champion for the 2nd time in as many weeks. Any suggestions for next week's subject will be gratefully received, so please email me - the (q)wackier the better!
